What FreeScanner processes

Scanning, cropping, page editing, and PDF creation happen on your device. Camera images and imported files are used only to create the documents you request.

Account and cross-device features

You can use the scanner without an account. If you sign in, FreeScanner uses Firebase Authentication to manage your account and uploads eligible completed PDFs, thumbnails, and minimum document metadata to our server and object storage. Password-protected PDFs, drafts, and OCR text are not uploaded. Transfers retry when a connection is available.

Purchases

If paid features are offered, RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play process purchase status. FreeScanner does not receive your complete payment-card details.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

FreeScanner uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate product usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose app stability and crashes. We do not attach document names, document IDs, file paths, OCR text, PDF contents, or other document content to analytics events or crash reports. Advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled on the website.

How information is used

We use account and document data only to provide sync, the web workspace, downloads, document changes, support, security, and purchase access. We do not sell your documents or personal information.

Deletion and retention

You can delete synced documents from the app or web workspace. You can also request account deletion. Deleted content is removed from active systems, subject to short-lived operational backups and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may keep using the scanner without signing in, sign out at any time, delete individual documents, or delete your account.
