What FreeScanner processes

Scanning, cropping, page editing, and PDF creation happen on your device. Camera images and imported files are used only to create the documents you request.

Optional account and cloud features

You can use the scanner without an account. If you sign in and enable cloud sync, FreeScanner uses Firebase Authentication to manage your account and uploads your selected documents and document metadata to our server and object storage. Uploads run in the background and retry when a connection is available.

Purchases

If paid features are offered, RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play process purchase status. FreeScanner does not receive your complete payment-card details.

How information is used

We use account and document data only to provide sync, the web workspace, downloads, document changes, support, security, and purchase access. We do not sell your documents or personal information.

Deletion and retention

You can delete synced documents from the app or web workspace. You can also request account deletion. Deleted content is removed from active systems, subject to short-lived operational backups and legal obligations.

Your choices

You may keep using local scanning without signing in, sign out at any time, disable cloud sync, delete individual documents, or delete your account.
